Today's image is yet another from the W&OD. I was on the trail before 6AM to avoid the heat and just to greet the wonderful sunrise. Just west of Ashburn, VA the W&OD crosses Goose Creek which is a major tributary of the Potomac River and classified as a VA Scenic River. The trail bridge is at least 50 feet above the water as can be seen by the tops of the trees. The sun was rising over my left shoulder and skimming the tops of the trees on the left bank while fully illuminating the trees on the right bank. Canon D10, 6.2mm, f2.8, ISO 160. And yes at times both ducks and geese can be seen on the stream.
